Vintage Zuni Sea Turtle Ring With Inlay Turquoise, Jet and Shell

Every now and then, you'll find these great vintage Zuni sea turtle rings that have a domed cowrie shell body to replicate a real turtle shell. The vintage turtle rings are completely unique and absolutely delightful! We were thrilled to find this one because it's a particularly good example of the vintage turtle rings. Notice the turquoise and jet inlay on the turtle's feet and head. The two-colors of stones combined with the raised cowrie shell body create a lively color palette that looks so good on the hand.

The turtle is set in sterling silver with a split-shank sterling band. There appears to be parts of an old hallmark that are worn down, so we can't attribute the piece to a specific artist. This darling ring is a size 9 but can easily be signed to fit if you fall in love and need a different size.
