Vintage Zuni Necklace of Turquoise Petit Point Inlay and Silver
Here's a killer vintage Zuni necklace of turquoise petit point inlay and silver. The handmade piece is the type of dazzling statement necklace that's rare enough to make you stand out in a crowd.
The one-of-a-kind necklace is a visual ode to the singular style that comes from the American Southwest. So much more than an accessory, it is the ENTIRE look.
The necklace is composed of two large cluster inlay Sleeping Beauty turquoise discs - one oval and one circular, that dangle from a handmade sterling silver chain. At the bottom of the clusters is a turquoise inlay bar adorned with 13 silver drops. So you have FOUR separate cascading sections that provide an outpouring of movement and visual interest.
The fantastic center pendant in its entirety measures a very long 5 3/4" from top to bottom. The widest disc is 2" while the adjustable silver chain is 18 3/4" from end to end. You're left to decide how long you want to wear it, and the length you choose will likely change from outfit to outfit.
Signed by the Zuni maker, the piece date circa 1970's, and it's sure to become one of your very favorites! It comes to us from a noted Native American jewelry historian.
