Vintage Zuni Necklace of Floral Channel Inlay

This vintage Zuni inlay necklace is so pretty with its fantastic combination of colors. Completely hand made in a flower motif, the necklace is the work of husband-and-wife team Vernon and Judy Wallace, who started working in the 1970's. The two jewelers set brown shell and turquoise into silver spaces in what is called a channel inlay technique.

Even the leaves of this necklace are hand done. If you look closely, you'll see that the artists have etched details into the silver leaves to make them more realistic. 

This sweet piece measures 20 1/2" from end to end of the linked chain. The floral pendant measures 2 1/2" x 2 1/8" and is hallmarked on the reverse.
