Vintage Zuni Inlay Sunface Necklace of Turquoise and Jet

This vintage necklace is a wonderful example of a Zuni inlay sunface pendant necklace. 

While you can find others, the colors in this one are especially striking as it's predominately turquoise and black. The little inlay faces have additional accents of coral and mother of pearl, but that black jet and blue turquoise background stands out.

Many of these Zuni sun god or sunface necklaces have flat inlay, but this necklace has raised and slightly curved inlay for additional depth and dimension.

This unique design is one that people notice! When you're wearing it to places unfamiliar with Zuni jewelry, you'll likely receive quite a few comments and even questions about it.

The sterling silver necklace measures 16 3/4" from end to end. Two of the channel inlay pendants measure 1" and the larger center one measures 1 5/16" diameter. The chain is handmade sterling silver. Unsigned.
