Zuni jewelers Porfilio and Ann Sheyka were at their very best when creating bird and animal jewelry.

This vintage Zuni inlay bird pin by Porfilio Sheyka is just darling. Somehow, Porfilio infused a sweet little songbird personality into stones of jet, coral, turquoise, mother of pearl and other shell. 

Each stone that makes up this bird brooch is carefully hand cut. If you run your fingers over the pin, you can feel the shaping.
