Vintage Patrick Yellowhorse Concho Belt With Natural Turquoise

The truth is, not everyone can wear the big old Navajo concho belts. Some have a more understated style. Others are more petite. Still others don't like the heavy weight of the biggies. Fortunately, there are still beautiful vintage Navajo concho belts that are smaller scale.

This Navajo silver and turquoise belt is definitely one of them. It's handmade by Patrick Yellowhorse of scalloped sterling silver conchos with stamp and repousse work. The centerpiece of each concho is a natural turquoise stone, said to be from the Bisbee mine, in a raised setting. 

There are 16 conchos in all measuring 1 3/8" plus a 1 3/4" buckle. One of the great things about this belt is that it fits inside most belt loops, so you can wear it with jeans and leather pants (just saying). The belt has holes for 34"-39" waists but more holes can be punched in the leather strap if you have a larger or smaller waist. 

The concho belt is hallmarked on the reverse.
