About the Piece: Vintage Navajo Silver Bead Necklace With Round and Torpedo Beads
Here's a vintage Navajo silver necklace with a wonderful combination of round beads alternating with torpedo shaped beads. The contrast between the usual round beads and the slimmer elongated beads makes them so much more interesting than a strand of Navajo pearls. Also, you'll find a lovely patina that only comes through the touch of time.
The beads are lighter in weight for those of you with a sensitive neck, but they still make a lovely visual statement.
The necklace is strung on a silver chain with a hook and eye closure. It measures 27 1/4" from end to end. The torpedo beads are slightly irregular in size - from 5/8" to 3/4" long with variances in the width too. (It's what we all want!), and the round beads are about 1/4".
