This vintage Mid-Century bracelet of turquoise and silver is a great design with a nice natural green-hued turquoise stone.

It's a handmade piece that was, most likely, originally sold at one of the old curio shops in the Southwest, catering to tourists captivated by these unusual and eye-catching Native American jewelry designs.

Upon first glance at this turquoise bracelet, you might think it's even earlier than Mid Century with its plain bezel, ornate stamped applique and winsome side stamps (including petroglyph figures) that look like they could be out of the early Fred Harvey Era. The bracelet, however, tells us a different story as it's stamped "sterling" on the inside. Sterling stamps weren't used until the 1930's and even then weren't more widely used until the 1950's.

This bracelet can be worn alone, but it's made for stacking.

It's an estate piece from a woman who enjoyed traveling to the Southwest and collecting Native American jewelry from her teens all the way into her golden years.

Bracelet measures 5 1/4" plus 1" gap. Width is 5/8".
