Vintage Micro Fine Heishi Necklace By Richard Aguilar
Vintage Micro Fine Heishi Necklace By Richard Aguilar
This delicate traditional necklace is imbued with so much spirit and soul. It's 15 strands of handmade micro fine beads. The majority of the impressively teeny beads are olivella shell heishi in varying shades of brown and cream. They're accented with turquoise, coral, lapis, mother of pearl, and pipestone to create a mesmerizing panoply of color. In the tiny beads of this single necklace, you'll be delighted to find so many of the stones that are most significant to Native American artists.
The outstanding necklace is handmade by Richard Lee Aguilar, who is an award winning artist of Choctaw/Santo Domingo heritage.Â
Imagine, if you will, just how good these tiny beads feel in your hands - and on your neck. If your neck is normally too sensitive to wear a 15 strander, think again with this one - it's presence is BIG but its weight is not.
Richard Aguilar's necklace is signed on stamped sterling silver cylinder beads and closes with a hook and eye to make it somewhat adjustable - from 26.5" to 29.5"
