Vintage Hand Beaded Native American Hat Band With Hats

In the spirit of all things seed bead, beloved matron of Native American art Martha Struever kept a small stash of little hand beaded accessories in colors and/or styles that she enjoyed.

This vintage hand beaded hat band shows Marti's sense of fun and her love of whimsey. It's beaded with 11 different colored cowboy hats (with hat bands) against a blue background. The hat band closes with leather ties that you tie to fit your hat. 

If you don't wear hats, not to worry, you can use it as a headband too. This adorable piece measures 32" from end to end. It's in excellent vintage condition. It's likely Navajo made, but I don't know the artist.
