There's a few vintage Ethel Shields pottery ornaments to present to you, and each one is so good that it's impossible to pick a favorite.
Each handmade Acoma pottery ornament is Ethel's rendition of a Christmas ball, painted to perfection with striking designs, mostly black and white with just a little bit of red.
Ethel passed away in 2021 and had been working since 1938 when she was 12 years old.
Her holiday ball ornaments are a fantastic way to collect her pottery because they're small and don't have to take up a whole lot of space.
Each one is from the private collection of the renowned Native American art dealer, collector and scholar, Martha Hopkins Struever.
Each is signed. This one has a circumference of about 6"
