Vintage Christmas Ornament of A Pottery Pueblo By Monique and Marty Lightner

This vintage Christmas ornament is all about the Santa Fe charm. It's a small clay Pueblo piece by Santa Fe artisans Monique and Marty Lightner, carved in the simple, graphic style they were known for in the 1980s and 90s. The hand-formed clay is left unglazed and natural, just etched with traditional New Mexico Pueblo elements like ristras, ladders, an orno and vigas.

Monique and Marty Lightner's ornaments were sold in Santa Fe gift shops, museum stores, and holiday markets. Marti Struever must've discovered it in one of those places and quickly added it to her holiday collection. 

The sweet ornament measures 3 1/8" x 2 3/4" and is signed and numbered on the reverse.
