Veronica Poblano Inlay Ring of Lapis, Turquoise, Jet and Mother of Pearl

This lovely inlay feather ring is by Veronica Poblano. The ring is elegantly feminine with an inlay design of turquoise, jet, lapis and hand carved mother of pearl set in silver that extends up the finger and travels down over the hand.

The colors of the stones in this ring are striking together and totally versatile. You can wear it in summer for a beachy vibe or in winter to accent your blues and whites. The colors work so perfectly together because Veronica Poblano has trained in color charting when she worked as a beautician. Multi-talented, Veronica Poblano never creates the same design twice, so whatever the season, you'll be the only one anywhere to wear a ring just like it. 

If you don't know, Veronica Poblano comes from an impressive family line. She's the daughter of renowned Zuni jeweler Leo Poblano.

Leo Poblano married Daisy Hooee Nampeyo in 1939, and was greatly influenced by his wife because she'd previously trained as a sculptor in Paris at L'ecole des Beaux Arts. With inspiration from Daisy, Leo Poblano created dimensional jewelry that was carved and sculptural. In fact, some of the jewelry currently attributed to Leo Poblano was actually likely created by Daisy. 

You can see Leo (and Daisy's) influence in this ring with it's carved elements. You can also see Leo Poblano's influence in the tiny inlay dots in this ring. They're akin to the dots often found in Leo Poblano's own inlay jewelry. It makes sense - Veronica Poblano learned her craft from her dad, by asking him lots of questions. While her style is highly contemporary, there are certainly elements in it from important jewelers who came before.  

This one-of-a-kind ring is simply wonderful in all the ways! It measures a full 2 1/8" long, and it's a size 9, but can be sized for an additional fee. It's hallmarked on the reverse.
