These handmade earrings are by the Reano Family at Santo Domingo or Kewa Pueblo. They are some of the most well-known jewelers working today in the traditional style. The round discs have a white clam shell background with mosaic inlay of turquoise on the top. We love that they're predominately turquoise, but in addition to turquoise, there are also two spondylus shell inlay pieces along with one mother-of-pearl piece and one lapis piece of inlay. Such complexity for something that upon first glance looks fairly straightforward.
The earrings measure 1 1/8" in diameter, so they're definitely large enough to be quite noticeable when worn. They're posts for pierced ears.
