Sterling Silver Mimbres Earrings

This pretty pair of sterling silver earrings is from the "Mimbres Miniatures" collection by The Silver Mesa shop founded in 1990. 

The earrings are handcrafted by Native American silversmiths and the design is individually stamped. It's inspired by patterns on Mimbres pottery created by the groups of people that inhabited areas of what is now the American Southwest during the Classic Mimbres period between A.D. 1000 and 1130. 

These earrings are an easy-to-wear size at 3/4" diameter with a slight dome to the silver. They're posts for pierced ears, and they come on a card inset with the story of the Mimbres culture. What a great gift they would make for a teacher or a history buff! They're hallmarked on the reverse with The Silver Mesa shop mark.
