Richard Begay Ring of Turquoise Inlay
Richard Begay Ring of Turquoise Inlay
The late Navajo artist Richard Begay was known for his contemporary and colorful inlay jewelry. This inlay ring was handmade by Richard Begay.
Designed with layers of circles for depth, the ring looks so pretty on the hand. Sitting atop a sterling silver circle is the first layer of the ring, and this one is Richard Begay's trademark inlay composed of hand cut natural turquoise with accents of coral and lapis. The inlay circle provides the perfect backdrop to a round sterling silver filed fan motif that gives the ring shine and texture. Finally, a circular natural red Mediterranean coral stone is set in an organically flowing silver bezel.
The vibrant ring is joyful. It's a size 6 1/4 with a 1" face and 3/8" depth. It's signed on the reverse and dates circa 1990.
