Old Navajo Silver Box With Stamping

Often, a little box is meant to hold tiny treasures, however, this old Navajo silver box IS the treasure.

Just a little guy, the silver box is just 1" across, but it's decorated with superb ornate stamp work on the top, front and sides. Take time to notice how well done the stamping really is. The little box also has the most perfect tiny hinges on the back. Such a charming piece!

It's from the private collection of renowned Native American art dealer, collector and scholar Martha Hopkins Struever, so you know it's pretty darn special. Marti displayed this box with all of her tiny treasures including her mini pottery and most favorite fetishes.
