Navajo Silver Overlay Pin by Kee Yazzie

For as long as I've been in the Native American jewelry field, I've loved Kee Yazzie's contemporary designs in a creative style of Navajo silver overlay. I've also admired and respected the talented and kind human being he is.

This wonderful brooch by Kee Yazzie is handmade with complex overlay silverwork that's inspired by petroglyphs. Inside the silver petroglyph border sits the most impressive green turquoise stone. With this singular piece, then, Kee has managed to translate a form of ancient rock art into metal and then decorate that metal with another ancient form of rock (and mineral). That is creativity and artistry at its best.

Even if you're a man, do not underestimate the power of a really great brooch pinned onto your shirt or jacket. You don't need anything else!
