Navajo Silver Horse Pin by Frank Salcido

Juniper is a vintage sterling silver pin brought to life by Navajo artist Frank Salcido raised on the Navajo Nation and trained in Fine Art at The Institute of American Indian Arts here in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Frank Salcido, is perhaps best known for his vivid paintings, but his silver jewelry depicting aspects of Navajo life, like beautiful Juniper, is after the heart.

Juniper horse measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/4" and she's signed on the reverse.

She wants you to know that she most enjoys seeing the world by riding on jackets, hats and even purses. She loves out and about rather than hiding in a dark jewelry drawer. She's also very proud of the stamped bug "tattoo" she has on her rump.
