Native American art dealer, collector and scholar Martha Hopkins Struever spent over 45 years selling and collecting the finest Native American pottery and jewelry. During her long career, countless fine pieces passed through her discerning hands. When Marti added a piece to her own private collection, you knew it was exceptional.

This red sgraffito jar depicting a Mimbres rabbit is by Santa Clara master Joseph Lonewolf, and it's from Marti Struever's private collection. It was her only Joseph Lonewolf, and she adored it.

She had a small collection of pottery miniatures that she displayed inside of a glass topped table. Over the years, many collectors offered to purchase different mini jars or canteens from that glass topped table, yet Marti was never willing to sell her tiny treasures.

The very special miniature jar was created by in 1975. It's signed and dated on the bottom. It measures just 1 1/2" tall. It needs to go to someone who will treasure it just as much as Marti did.
