Ira Custer Necklace of Tufa Cast Silver Corn Plants
Navajo jeweler Ira Custer is one of our favorites for his ability to depict the natural world in sterling silver through tufa casting.
His sterling silver corn plant necklace is just outstanding. With it, Ira Custer has created a striking work of wearable art that's also a meaningful representation of an ever-important symbol for many Native peoples.
The necklace is entirely handmade down to the chain links and the clasp. Each corn plant is textured for added dimension.
Honestly, how often have you really seen a piece of jewelry this cool?
The piece measures 28.5" long plus a 3" pendant. It's signed on the reverse.
