Historic Silver Squash Blossom Earrings
Have you ever found yourself in a glorious vintage Navajo or Pueblo necklace - perhaps a turquoise tab necklace or a Mediterranean coral necklace - you're looking fab but having a difficult time selecting the right earrings to wear with your bold necklace?
You cannot beat an old pair of historic silver squash blossom earrings as the consummate compliment to an old Navajo or Pueblo necklace.
These old silver squash blossom earrings were made from a historic Navajo squash blossom necklace. The hand-wrought silver squash blossom necklace came to Turquoise & Tufa in pieces. There were some beautiful blossoms and beads, but not enough to re-string the necklace in its entirety. Instead, T&T re-imagined our few historic blossoms into new pieces of jewelry that still maintain the matchless beauty & integrity of the original piece.
The earrings have had sterling silver hooks added to the original blossoms and the once square bail has been carefully reshaped for more comfort when worn.
The earrings have a gorgeous patina and the wonderful, distinctive marks of hand hammering.
