Handmade Easter Bunny Hopi Pottery Bowl By Kathleen Collateta
Handmade Easter Bunny Hopi Pottery Bowl By Kathleen Collateta
Here's an adorable Easter Bunny pottery bowl by Hopi potter Kathleen Collateta. Can't you just imagine what a beloved family holiday favorite this little bowl is set to become - appearing each year with all the other Easter decor.
This special piece has a raised head and cotton tail along with eagle tail painting designs across the body. What a fabulous combination of Easter merged with traditional Hopi design elements. It's certainly something you don't see very often.Â
The piece is from the private collection of Native American art dealer, collector and scholar Martha Hopkins Struever, who had a special affinity for all things holiday and all things Hopi. Marti LOVED decorating for Easter with various Easter trees AND bunnies galore.
This little bunny would be a perfect candy dish as he measures 5" tall x 5" deep x 3 3/4" across. Signed K. Collateta, Hopi Tewa on the reverse.
