Denise Wallace Dangle Earrings of Scrimshaw Faces With Gold

These expressive earrings are rare and meaningful! They're exquisitely handmade by master Aleutian jeweler Denise Wallace.

Upon close inspection, you'll see that the silver dangle earrings are set with fossilized walrus ivory that has been gently carved and then decorated with scrimshaw to create two distinct faces, male and female. Above each face is a separate silver circle of inlay in different shades of fossil ivory. Finally, the silver earrings are highlighted with alternating 14k gold beads and circular punch outs.  

The overall design is decidedly Northwest Coast inspired and yet uniquely the work of Denise Wallace with her special feminine touch.

Wear these as a powerful display of the masculine and feminine energies that live inside each one of us. 

These collector pieces measure 1 7/8" x 5/8". They're signed and dated on the reverse, and they're posts for pierced ears.
