A Vintage Pair of Navajo Dolls in Traditional Dress
This exceptional pair of vintage Navajo dolls in traditional dress comes directly from the private collection of Native American art dealer, collector and scholar Martha Hopkins Struever.
Notice the fine detail on these entirely handmade cloth dolls - from the expressive faces to the velvet shirts to the silver and coral jewelry, hair wraps and leather moccasins. So much more than beautiful dolls, these are truly collectible pieces of artwork.
Martha acquired the pair in 1999 from another Native art dealer, and they remained in her private collection until now. They are unsigned, they're likely the work of Kay Bennett.
They're priced well below retail, and we hope these will go into the collection of someone who will treasure them as much as Marti did.
