Vintage Zuni Turtle Ring of Inlaid Jet and Turquoise With Shell

Every now and then, you'll find these adorable vintage turtle rings that have creatively used a domed cowrie shell body to replicate a real turtle shell.

These vintage turtle rings are completely unique and absolutely delightful!

This one is most likely handmade Zuni. The head, arms and legs are channel inlaid of turquoise and jet in silver. The two-colors of stones combined with the raised cowrie shell body create a lively color palette that stands out on the hand.

This whimsical turtle-friend has depth and presence and rides on a split shank silver band. The ring is hallmarked with the initials RC and LL. This darling ring is size 5 1/2 but can easily be signed to fit if you fall in love and need a different size. The face measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/8" with a 1/2" depth.
