Vintage Zuni Turquoise Ring With 9 Snake Eye Stones

When Marilyn Monroe asserted that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, she wasn't thinking of this unexpected "diamond" ring. 

This vintage Zuni ring is set with 9 natural turquoise stones that are each in a round "snake eye" cut. They're placed in silver work that's in an overall diamond shape, so this ring is a Zuni "diamond" ring. 

It's striking on the hand with the variegated colors of turquoise - over time different little stones have turned to different shades of blue and green deliciousness.

The ring is a size 8 1/2 and the face is just short of 1 1/2". It has big presence when you wear it.

Unsigned, the ring is from a New York City collection.
