Vintage Zuni Inlay Watch Band With Sunfaces By RJ Edaakie

In this day and age, when everyone has their smart watches, it's refreshing to see artisan made watch bands - especially those made by Native American artists.

This vintage link watch band is made by Zuni artist RJ Edaakie. It's handmade of mosaic inlay in an eye catching geometric design using bright blue turquoise, red coral and black jet. There are a few opalescent mother of pearl accents as well. Besides the bold geometric triangular inlay sections, there are also two little inlaid sunfaces which soften the rest of the design. Everything is set in sterling silver.

The band with its current watch measures 7 7/8" at it's largest, but it's adjustable down to fit wrists as small as 6 1/8". The width is 7/8", and the watch attachments are 1/2". It will come with the current watch which isn't working. It probably just needs a battery change.

If you're someone who can't live without your smart watch, do a little bit of research because there are conversion kits. One just might work with this band although I don't know for sure. Signed on the reverse.

The vintage Zuni watch band comes from a long time collector who happened to have attended more of Martha Struever's famous Native American art field trips than just about anyone else.
