Vintage Zuni Inlay Thunderbird Pendant or Pin

Zuni inlay jewelry is always eye-catching because it's a design that not many people outside the Southwest are familiar with. The authentic Zuni jewelry is made at one tiny pueblo in one tiny area of the world.

This vintage Zuni channel inlay thunderbird is an extra striking because it's a really pretty and bold design set with bright blue turquoise that looks like Morenci contrasted with black jet, red coral, and white shell in silver. Notice the great silver wire border too.

It was originally created to be a brooch, but someone somewhere down the line had a bail added so that it can be worn as a pendant too. That was a fantastic addition because the handmade inlay thunderbird looks amazing worn as a pendant. It measures 2 1/2" x 2" and is unsigned as most of these vintage Zuni pieces are.

It's in great vintage condition - just one little stable crack in one tail feather. It does not go all the way through, and it gives this birdie some character.
