Vintage Zuni Inlay Roadrunner Pin Pendant By Caroline Edaakie

When visitors to the Southwest witness one of our beloved roadrunners for the first time, they usually comment on how the speedy bird is smaller than they'd imagined. 

Zuni jeweler Caroline Edaakie is known for her colorful jewelry depictions of our Southwestern creatures like roadrunners, butterflies and dragonflies. This is one of her larger roadrunner depictions. It's a pin or a pendant, and it's set with coral, turquoise, mother of pearl and other shell in silver. This one is a vintage piece by Caroline and was collected by a woman from New York City, so it has the spent the past few decades preening around The Big Apple.

Roadrunner pin/pendant measures 2 1/4" long x 1 1/8" tall and is signed on the reverse. Bale measures 3/16" diameter.
