Vintage Zuni Inlay Butterfly Pin

Like the living creature that inspired it, this old Zuni butterfly brooch experienced many evolutions before it achieved its final form. First it was just a vision in the mind of a talented Zuni jeweler. Then, it was individual stones of turquoise, jet, coral and shell that were selected and hand cut into perfect tiny shapes. Eventually, each shape was inlaid in silver work to create this wonderful, detailed Zuni butterfly pin.
