This vintage estate necklace from Santo Domingo or Kewa Pueblo is pretty, versatile, and wearable.

The shell heishi necklace is eleven strands that are securely tied with a pueblo wrap. While they hang nice and long, the shell beads are a smaller diameter than many you find in multi strand Navajo and Pueblo necklaces. The result is a piece that is comfortable and easier to wear with its more petite bead size.

The beads are neutral colors of white, cream and brown that coordinate with just about everything. Throw it on for an instant boost.

Wear it alone, combine it it with other Native necklaces or hang pendants from it as long as they have shepherd's hooks that can easily slide over the strands of beads.

The necklace hangs 14 1/2". It's unsigned. It's a beloved old piece from the estate of a life-long collector of fine Native American jewelry.
