Vintage Mexican Silver Hand Hammered Neck Collar Necklace

This vintage Mexican silver neck collar necklace is a wonderful way to look more polished. The handmade sterling silver necklace is hammered and oxidized for an attractive texture. The necklace is sculpted with curves for a lovely fit. 

It's so easy to just slip this on. If you live by yourself and don't have anyone else to help you with necklace clasps, this is the perfect solution.

It comes from the collection of a German woman who moved to El Paso after she was married in the 1950's. In El Paso, she fell in love with both Mexican and Native American jewelry. The two forms of wearable art share quite a few commonalities, you know. It's original collector eventually moved away from El Paso, but her love for her jewelry remained strong.

Neck collar measures 5 3/4" long. You can gently pull the ends open to fit it around your neck. It has a 3/16" width, so you can slip a pendant onto it. Stamped "Mexico" and ".925" on the reverse.
