Vintage Fred Harvey Era Navajo Bracelet With Turquoise
Vintage Fred Harvey Era Navajo Bracelet With Turquoise
This sweetly split shank Navajo bracelet dates circa 1930's during a time known as the "Fred Harvey Era".
A single round dollop of turquoise adjoins the two sides of a cut out design. The turquoise is accented with two borders of silver rope work - one directly surrounding the little stone and one larger oval silver rope highlights the entire face of the bracelet. It's such a pretty design - a little more subdued than some of the other pieces from this period.Â
Elegant stamp work completes the bracelet. This one is Navajo handmade, and it has the loveliest patina - one that cannot be reproduced except through the good old hands of time.
It measures 5 3/8" inside plus 1 1/8" opening. The width is 1/2". Unsigned as is usual for the time it was created.
The bracelet was part of a beloved life-long collection of Native American jewelry.
