Celebrated Zuni jeweler Annie Quam Gasper was born in 1920, in an era of Native jewelry evolution that Robert Bauver's book on Navajo and Pueblo Earrings 1850-1945 details. In fact, Annie Quam Gasper is said to have learned from the Zuni master jeweler Horace Iule.

This sweet pair of handmade Annie Quam Gasper's dangle earrings shows the turquoise channel inlay hummingbird design that she perfected. Complimenting the round hummingbird pattern in the center of the earrings, you'll find elements from earlier Pueblo earrings like the alluring dangling silver drops set with turquoise. The silver and turquoise drops help you feel the earrings dancing your ears, and their movement can't help but call to the eyes of others as you're wearing them.

Annie Quam Gasper is no longer with us, but she lives on in earrings like these that will continue to be loved and worn from generation to generation.

These vintage turquoise earrings measure 2" long by 1/2" wide. They're signed on the reverse. For pierced ears.
