Vintage 50 Strand Heishi Shell Necklace From Santo Domingo Kewa Pueblo

Go ahead and do a quick search on the Google for a 50 strand heishi necklace from Kewa Pueblo. Can you find one? You might even try to search for one from Santo Domingo Pueblo as that's what we used to call Kewa Pueblo. Still haven't found one? It's okay. They're rare.

This vintage heishi necklace is strung with 50 strands of micro fine heishi. Teeny tiny shell beads. They're only a little bit bigger than liquid silver if that gives you any idea.

The cream color of the necklace goes with anything, and even though there are 50 strands, it's not heavy unduly heavy or unduly bold. In fact, the piece is elegant in its monochrome design and lends itself to classic styling just beautifully. 

The vintage necklace is finished with stamped sterling silver cylinder and round beads that are hallmarked with AC. The necklace measures 26.5" from end to end plus a 7" extender.
