Vintage 3 Strand Bird Fetish Necklace From Kewa Pueblo

Here's a really pretty triple strand fetish necklace of birds from Kewa Pueblo(Santo Domingo). The vintage piece is made with hand carved birds of white clam shell with white clam shell heishi. The white on white makes for both a striking and an elegant effect. Can you imagine wearing this against a brown or charcoal blouse?

The birds are stylized, which is a more unique look that lends a bit of extra mystique.
