Virgil Ortiz and Kenneth Johnson Necklace From The Rain Collection

More than a decade ago, renowned Cochiti Pueblo artist Virgil Ortiz collaborated with talented Muscogee/Seminole jeweler Kenneth Johnson to produce the RAIN jewelry collection, an edgy and eye-catching line of jewelry.

Virgil Ortiz is perhaps best known as a sought-after contemporary potter, and jewelry from the Rain Collection features designs from his pottery including his iconic VO trademark. 

This necklace is one from the limited 2012 collection to creatively use Ortiz' VO in  silver .

If you take a look around, you'll see it's next to impossible to find any RAIN jewelry. This one comes from the collection of a woman, who like Virgil Ortiz today, was once involved in the world of high fashion.

The silver pendant measures 1 3/8" x 1 1/2" and hangs from a 20" long black rubber necklace.
