Two different Tsosie & Mary Taylor Bolos came to me from the same collector. While both are contemporary in style and set with turquoise and wood, the design of each is completely different and a testament to the creativity that sets Mary and Tsosie Taylor apart from other Navajo jewelers.

This fantastic bolo is a study in jewelry-making techniques as well as geometry. The Tsosies have created an oval hollow form dome of silver with triangular cut outs. Straight through the center of this domed silver keeper, they've inlaid two different species of wood in different widths and two rectangular bars of turquoise. There's also a single inlaid silver line as well. All around the outside edge of the bolo is more wood and silver inlay. It's truly an exceptional piece!

Notice how the design comprises both hard lines and soft edges. Superb!

The bolo keeper measures 2 3/8" x 1 7/8" with a depth of 1/2" and it's signed.

It comes from the collection of an artist with a great eye for composition. He had a limited number of pieces in his Native American jewelry collection, but the examples that he had were top notch.
