Ricky Laahty Hand Carved Fetish of Zuni Maiden Turquoise

Following in his great-uncle, Zuni master carver Leekya Deyuse’s footsteps, Ricky Laathy has expertly sculpted this Zuni maiden from all natural turquoise. Sweet and delicate, the maiden, with her dark, piercing inlaid eyes is accentuated by the distinctive turquoise stone that envelopes her head.  

The maiden is a rare Ricky Laahty piece as he most often carves frogs. We've rarely seen him do human figures. The fetish is signed on the bottom and measures 1 7/8" tall x 3/4" wide.
