Phillip Sekaquaptewa Bracelet of Inlay Turquoise and Lapis

The late contemporary Hopi jeweler Phillip Sekaquaptewa had a style all his own. Some of his best pieces were cuff bracelets of cobblestone inlay set with a silver or gold figure in a center panel against an oxidized and stippled background. 

You might have come across one before. In fact, one was in the Turquoise & Tufa annual catalog that sold immediately. If you've had your eye on one of Weseoma's fantastic bracelets, now is your chance because this is one of those great Phillip Sekaquaptewa's.

The colors he used for this one are perfect together! He chose a narrow row of lapis stones that have a little bit of height and then a wider row of heavily matrixed turquoise stones ending with wood terminals. So good! The silver cuff itself is shaped with gentle curves that taper at the terminals.

It measures 5" inside with a 1 3/16" opening, so it's great for smaller wrists. The widest point of the bracelet is 3/4" wide. Signed.
