Many old Native American necklaces have both a look and a feel that's hard to describe until it's been slipped over your head. This one has that look AND feel.

It's made of hand cut turquoise tabs from different turquoise mines giving it depth of color but with an overall leaning towards shades of green. Many of the tabs have been hand pump-drilled in the old style that was used before there was electricity. There's also hand rolled natural turquoise beads that are graduated in size - tiny at the top and larger at the bottom.

The necklace hangs impressively long - 28" from end to end. That means with the contrast of rolled beads and tabs, different shapes and shades of turquoise combined with a long, elegant length, this necklace is a stunner.

The piece is either Navajo or Pueblo and pre dates the mid 20th Century.

Whether you're a newer collector looking for that single standout necklace or a seasoned devotee, this necklace is one that deserves your attention. Slip it over your head, and your look is an instant 10 out of 10!

Unsigned, the piece can be traced through two lines of ownership.
