Norbert Peshlakai Silver Buckle of Silver and Gold Entitled Turtle Society

A charming silver buckle by contemporary Navajo jeweler Norbert Peshlakai entitled "Turtle Society" is stamped with a variety of sea turtles swimming up and down the outside edges of he buckle.

With a Norbert Peshlakai piece of jewelry, there's always more detail than initially meets the eye. With this piece, the center has eleven distinct vertical sections including 6 inlay gold bars. The outside section on either side is stamped representing waves of water.

This fine piece dates circa 2007. A smaller buckle, it measures 2 1/4" x 1 3/8". It fits a 1" wide belt. It's hallmarked by Norbert on the left front corner.
