Navajo jewelry is probably best known for being big and bold, set with large turquoise stones in heavy gauge silver, however, there are more subtle styles as well like this strand bracelet with its two rolling waves of silver accented by three offset round stones of coral lapis and sugilite. It's a beautiful alternative in a feminine contemporary style.

The piece is by the late Navajo jeweler Lorraine Ann Hesuse (1948-2021). Originally from Nageezi, New Mexico, Lorraine (Lori) created jewelry for over 40 years! If you've come to Santa Fe, you may have met her selling her jewelry under the portal of the Palace of the Governors in the Santa Fe Plaza or at the Palace of the Governors.

Lori Hesuse's bracelet measures 5 1/2" inside plus a 1" opening that can be very gently adjusted. The piece is 13/16" wide, and it's signed on the inside.
