This necklace of Navajo silver beads (often called Navajo pearls) is one of the last jewelry purchases that iconic Native jewelry dealer Martha Struever made on a 2017 trip to the Navajo reservation with Mindy of Turquoise & Tufa. She liked this necklace because the 6mm beads are lightweight and so easily wearable. They can be worn alone or stacked with other necklaces.
The piece measures 24" from end to end. The beads are shiny with oxidation on the top and bottom for a nice contrasting look. While unsigned, the Navajo pearls are said to be the work of Navajo artist Jonathan Chee. Lobster Clasp closure.
