Narrow Hopi Silver Overlay Bracelet By Art Batala Water Wave

There's a quiet subtlety in appreciating a narrow Hopi silver overlay bracelet in a world that so often exclaims "super size me!"

This lovely vintage bracelet with its repeating water wave design is by Hopi silversmith Art Batala, from Mishongnovi and of the Masau Clan. Art Batala learned to silversmith at Hopicrafts Guild and started working in 1975.

Something unique about this particular Art Batala bracelet is that half of the water wave motif is an inverted pattern with the two opposite designs meeting in the center. 

Since it's just 1/4" wide, many will see this silver bracelet as the perfect piece for stacking with other Hopi cuffs, but it can also stand on its own just fine to represent the inherent regeneration in the cycle of all life.

Bracelet measures 5 5/8" inside plus 1 1/8" opening. Hallmarked with Art Batala's fox head hallmark and "sterling".
