Helen Shupla Melon Jar Redware

Helen Shupla's finely polished red melon jar is a stunning pottery form that the late Santa Clara Pueblo artist is best known for. This particular piece is small but perfectly shaped. 

Though created by hand at a traditional New Mexico Pueblo, the elegant jar looks phenomenal with a minimalist design aesthetic. 

Helen Shupla's red melon jar is from the private, personal collection of the renowned Native American art dealer Martha Hopkins Struever. This was Marti's idea of the perfect Helen Shupla.

The jar is on the smaller side. It measures 5 3/4" diameter x 4" tall. It's signed on the bottom.
