The sand cast piece is Navajo made for the tourists who likely arrived in the Southwest on the railroad. Its thunderbird motif was a favorite for souvenirs. Just think of all the letters this piece has opened over the years.

It's in excellent shape and has been shined up like it was on the day it was first made.

The letter opener measures 5 3/4" x 1 1/4" and is unsigned in keeping with the period.
