This ring by Navajo artist Edison Cummings is nothing less than a sculpture in silver. Edison calls it a "Toga" ring perhaps because its worthy of being on the finger of a Roman emperor.

This heavy and elongated silver ring rises up from the finger coming to a knife edge at the center which Edison has accented with 14k gold. It's a stunning contemporary design that can only be achieved when creativity meets technique. Edison Cummings has both in spades.

Edison originally trained as a painter and a sculptor before cutting his jewelry teeth at the famous White Hogan shop working at Kenneth Begay's old bench. In fact, this ring itself can almost be seen as a progression of the Navajo modernist style that Kenneth Begay made famous.

These days Edison Cummings has taken the torch from inspirations like Kenneth Begay and run with it. He's won awards for his fine contemporary jewelry, and he's also won awards for truly incredible handmade silver tea pots.

This one-of-a-kind shaped silver ring by a contemporary master is a size 9.5. The face measures 1 3/4" long with 3/8" height above the finger. Signed on the inside.

If you're at all unsure about this ring, ask to see a picture of it on the hand. It's ridiculously great!
