This is one of our favorite belt buckles by Navajo master Norbert Peshlakai. The piece is handmade of heavy silver with a hammered background for texture. There are 7 different sections of the buckle demonstrating different types of "chains." Five of the sections are raised and the two outside sections are stamped. Norbert created these sections or panels using anvil molds that belonged to his grandfather. A final perfect detail is one single coral cab sitting slightly offset in the third section.
The resulting buckle is uncompromisingly original and actually kind of rock-n-roll.
The buckle dates circa 1993. It measures 2 7/8" x 2" and fits a 1 3/8" - 1 1/2" belt. Hallmarked on the reverse.
